Datapack CLI

Overview

A CLI that I made in go because I got annoyed at looking up on how to setup the folder structure of a Minecraft datapack.

This project spawned partially because I wanted to try go, and also wanted to make something that I would use. Its very simple, but it works for me and thats all I need it to do.

Key Features

• Uses a .metadatapack to store data about your datapack kinda like git does.
• Generates the file structure for your datapack.
• Allows you to quickly make a .mcfunction file and also link it to your tick and/or load mcfunction files.

Challenge & Solution

Challenge: Using go for the first time.

Solution: I've never used go before, so learning about its quirks was fun.
